Cirrus HD Optical Coherence Tomography
A new leading edge technology, the Cirrus HD Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is now available at DV Eye. It is the most valuable advance in retinal diagnostic imaging today. The OCT measures the retina (the tissue in the back of the eye) in order to detect and track signs of Glaucoma, Diabetic Macular Edema, and Age-Related Macular Degeneration. With the Cirrus HD OCT, a detail cross section of the retina can be evaluated. Conventional tests are often inconclusive, difficult and time consuming, or they detect the diseases after damage has already occurred.
New technology, like the OCT may save eyesight by providing more advance diagnostic tools for early detection of eye diseases.
The OCT scan is quick, painless. and non-invasive. The vibrant colorful reports are printed immediately for easy and straightforward interpretation.
